Description
FINNFOAM FF-PIR AL thermal insulation sheets are produced from a rigid polyisocyanurate (polyurethane) foam (PIR) core and covered on both sides with a hermetic layer of aluminum multi-layer foil, which acts as a vapor barrier, so there is no need for additional vapor and diffuse wind films. FF-PIR AL sheets are used for wall and roof insulation. FF-PIR AL sheets have a particularly low coefficient of thermal conductivity (λD = 0.022 W/mK), so there is an insulation layer up to two times thinner than when installing other insulation materials. A layer of aluminum foil acts as a vapor barrier, so the sheets can be used for airtightness, resulting in an increase in the energy efficiency of the building.
In the production of FF-PIR sheets, no health-harmful materials or additives are used, so no health-hazardous gas, particles or fibers are released from them. FF-PIR sheets are classified in ambient air quality class M1 (the highest class in Finland), which allows them to be used not only in living and working spaces, but also in hospitals, schools, kindergartens, nursing homes, etc.
FINNFOAM FF-PIR AL sheets are available with a flat edge (ALI) or with a groove-groove connection (ALK).
