SOUDAL PU-18P is a solvent- and water-free two-component polyurethane glue for gluing both glued and solid wood parquet. Excellent adhesion to the most common substrates, also for underfloor heating.
Characteristics
- Does not contain solvents and water
- Easy to use with tools
- High class durability
- Build stamina quickly
Application
- PU-18P is suitable for indoor bonding of all types of wood floors such as solid wood, honeycomb, pre-treated parquet, wood planks and wood blocks, including laminates and exotic woods.
- Suitable for use on porous substrates such as concrete, screeds, wood, mosaic, chipboard and OSB (large particle size particle board).
Surfaces
- Nature: PU-18P must be applied to a firm, clean, permanently dry, dust- and grease-free surface free of loose particles, paint, wax, oil or other contaminants.
- Irregularities such as concrete smoothing, old adhesives can have a negative effect on adhesion. It is preferable to remove them mechanically, for example by grinding or sandblasting.
- The top layer of the anhydrite baseboard must be removed.
- Before installing the parquet, the substrate should be tested to make sure it is suitable. Check the moisture content of the entire thickness of the substrate with a carbide or electric hygrometer. Note that the electric hygrometer shows indicative values only.
- Moisture content should be as recommended by the floor manufacturer (typically max. 2% for sand-cement substrates and max. 0.5% for anhydrite, measured with a carbide hygrometer.
- For substrates with underfloor heating, the values are respectively max. 1.5% and 0.3%). We recommend a preliminary adhesion test on each surface.

The color tones on the screen are reproduced electronically. They may differ from the actual color tone because our color perception is affected by the surface of the material, glare, lighting, and other factors. To accurately determine a color shade, we recommend that you use real color shade catalogs, always be confident in your choice, and use the color shade catalogs in an environment or conditions similar to those for which you choose a color.
